Over-used abrasive belt.  Often the result of making the abrasive belt remove more material than it is capable of, at the feed speeds used. 

  • Use belt as long as it is efficient  

  • Change belt 

  • Use proper feeds and stock removal commensurate with abrasives in use   

Defective belt coating 

  • Change belt
